DIRECTION & STORYTELLING
For the 2026 Auburn University Fashion Event, I directed the opening video’s full lifecycle from initial scriptwriting through principal cinematography and final post-production. I utilized Adobe Premiere Pro for the edit and integrated a custom, hand-lettered title card designed in Procreate to establish a visual narrative that set the tone. The short film follows two girls getting ready, while the boys wait for the girls outside, leaning into the classic "running behind" trope. While the dialogue balances essential event logistics with a playful, narrative-driven storyline, ensuring the audience is informed about the show’s progression while staying visually and emotionally engaged.

Consider the Lilies Opening Video
Before my capstone collection walked down the runway, I conceptualized an opening video not only as the prelude, but to share the heart behind our collection. I curated a visual narrative using stock footage, layered with a dual-perspective script and voiceover. The goal was to establish the emotional atmosphere in the room through our articulation and philosophy before our collection took the stage.
This tribute film, produced in 2022, highlights my experience in documentary-style storytelling and community-focused videography. I managed the full production workflow, including on-site filming and post-production, to capture the 30-year legacy of a beloved coach in the Raleigh community. By weaving together archival-style interviews from alumni spanning three decades with candid game-day footage, I created a narrative centered on mentorship and emotional impact. This project demonstrates my ability to craft a compelling, human-centric story that resonates with a specific audience while maintaining a professional and nostalgic visual tone.
