The Dress
Details for this dress include a paneled bodice that extends into a drop waist, flowing into a full-length skirt. The sleeves are crafted with elastic shirring, creating a textured, gathered effect that adds structural interest to the soft drape of the fabric.
The 100 % cotton fabric was treated with sustainable tannins and mordants, providing a rich, organic base for the hand-painted lilies — rendered using decolorant to create a delicate contrast.
The Vest
Layered over the dress is a cropped crimson vest, adding a bold pop of color and tactile warmth. Long ties fall towards the floor, complimenting the neck tie on the dress and falling nature of the painted lily design.
