Plaid Design created using ADOBE Illustrator

This design draws inspiration from the architecture, history, and traditions of Langdon Hall — one of Auburn’s most iconic buildings. Created in Adobe Illustrator, the plaid features three distinct lines that represent the hall’s three entry doors, subtly honoring its structure. A circular motif is woven into the design, symbolizing both the seal in front of the building and the story of Langdon Hall being moved across campus on logs. The circle also alludes to the tradition of not stepping on the seal, a quiet but powerful gesture of respect shared across generations of Auburn students. I aimed to capture the rhythm and character of the building through pattern, form, and color, blending historical reference with a modern aesthetic. “Langdon Loom” is a visual tribute to place, memory, and the stories that live within our campus spaces.
