Bloom

Bloom represents a pivotal moment in my growth as a designer. It is the first garment I fully drafted myself, from sketch to final stitch, marking the beginning of my creative vision taking shape. Just as a flower blooms with care and intention, this project reflects the unfolding of my skills, confidence, and identity as a maker.

The soft blush tone and the gathered fullness of the skirt echo the delicate yet powerful energy of a blooming flower. With minimal embellishment and a monochromatic palette, the silhouette and construction details take center stage. The result is a refined, contemporary look, ideal for both modern formal wear and creative styling purposes.

This refined two-piece set, crafted from 100% cotton, strikes a balance between structure and softness.

The Bodice

This top features a fully-lined fitted, sleeveless bodice with a boat neckline that rests just above the collarbones. Princess seams extend down the front and back for shaping, while a gently curved yoke adds visual interest and complements the matching curved yoke on the skirt. The closure is discreetly placed on the side with an invisible zipper, maintaining a clean, uninterrupted silhouette from both front and back.

The Skirt

The skirt is full-length and designed with a high-rise waist, sitting just above the natural waistline. It features a smooth, fully lined yoke that wraps around the upper hips, creating a clean, fitted silhouette through the waist. From the base of the yoke, the skirt transitions into a generously gathered lower panel that adds volume and movement. The gathering begins just below the hip and falls evenly to the floor, with the hemline skimming the ground. The closure is an invisible zipper placed discreetly at the side seam, preserving the uninterrupted look of the front and back.
